The individual in role is accountable for ensuring alignment between rentals and re-commerce strategy and supply chain strategy and operations, at times implementing project management practices to plan and execute process changes. They can manage risks & issues and resolve operational problems through collaboration with the cross-functional teams in order to minimize delays. In addition, they can work independently, and serve as a resource and mentor for colleagues while modeling and acting in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission. • Organizing new business venture supply chain activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization • Acts as the primary liaison between rentals and re-commerce and supply chain operations, to define and implement requirements for new and revised processes to support new business ventures • Manages program progress and communicates status to management and stakeholders on a regular basis • Able to navigate a high degree of ambiguity in an entrepreneurial type of environment • Ensures continual alignment between key cross divisional stakeholders • Provides process insight and guidance to leadership on key new business initiatives that have an impact to supply chain • Provides thought leadership to cross divisional partners regarding program direction and planning • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement • Liaise with cross functional divisions and internal departments to drive process improvements • Leads change management for responsible areas • Collaborates with cross-functional partners and leadership to ensure continued engagement and understanding of key deliverables • Continue to educate best practice of program and project management methodologies to peers, co-workers and leaders Bring your passion and expertise • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain or equivalent degree • 5+ years’ experience as a Program or Project Manager concurrently managing multiple small to large cross-divisional projects in a fast-paced environment • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) • Advanced knowledge of program and project management methodology • Advanced knowledge of supply chain functions, and information technology systems and implementation process • Experience within rentals and/or re-commerce space • Experience with warehouse/distribution operations and supply chain business processes • Advanced Problem-solving skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple assignments • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills • Ability to set clear objectives, identify priorities, collaborate with business partners to streamline business and drive results • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals • Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities • Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions • Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers • Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work • Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals • Clearly conveys and accurately receives information by a variety of methods and in various situations • Builds rapport with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization • Acts upon opportunities and involves and influences others in the accomplishment of worthwhile organizational goals • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change Why you'll love it here We’re a passionate community of people who believe in one simple truth: an outdoor life is a life well-lived.
