REI is seeking a Sr. Change Readiness and Training Specialist to work closely with merchandising staff, management, project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure our organization is prepared to take on new or evolving people, processes and technology for our Merchandising Roadmap projects and initiatives. This person would be responsible for identifying impacts of our initiatives and development of additional Merchandising capabilities as well as creating and executing the associated change management and training plans. You will work with a diverse set of colleagues, including project managers, business analysts, training and delivery specialists, software developers and management from both Merchandising and IT. This person will focus on all sides of change – changes to thinking, philosophy or mindset, business processes, departmental collaboration, training and education, stakeholder management, and communication. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values, competencies and mission.

! Engage in large scale change initiatives to help the organization and leaders anticipate, lead, and embrace change
! Ensure the understanding and adoption of common methodology and standards related to change management, communication processes or process improvements
! Conduct stakeholder analyses and impact assessments to accurately identify stakeholder groups that are impacted by change
! Work with executive leadership, managers and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risk and create strategies to overcome barriers to change
! Lead the advancement of the change management discipline by leading training, providing coaching on change management to the business
! Develop and execute communication plans including crafting messages and identifying sequencing of communication channels
! Develop and execute training curricula and materials including drafting courseware and managing the class attendees, objectives and deliverables
! Create digital interactive user interfaces such as e-learning, system simulations, videos, surveys, SharePoint sites and HTML emails
! Monitor adoption of change post-implementation and suggest mitigation strategies for low adoption rates
! Develop communication strategies to create awareness, drive acceptance and adoption
! Act as a crucial part of the team evaluating Go/No-Go decisions on major efforts
! Assists in the implementation of strategy, business initiatives, and organizational and cultural changes for leadership alignment, stakeholder and employee engagement, large scale program design, organization performance, and communications
! Designing and implementing programs to maximize the value and return on the merchandising capital investments, and programs to develop, grow, and maintain merchandising knowledge and expertise
! Be the leading advocate for people during technology and process implementations
! Establish key quality metrics and guide operational division heads in adoption and maintenance of performance frameworks to support the Merchandising roadmap initiatives
! Provide status updates and dashboards for on-going projects and initiatives using best-practice metrics to guide the team in measuring change adoption, risks and performance
! Foster an environment where critical thinking is encouraged and where options and solution alternatives are studied and proposed
! Conduct and ensure the completion of performance reviews including employee mentoring and career development oversight
! Ensure all employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements

Bring your passion and expertise

! 5+ years of change management experience in the areas of: communications, stakeholder engagement, training, adoption/change measurement, leadership engagement/development
! 3+ years’ experience developing and delivering change and training classes and materials
! Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in organizational development, communications or related field
! 3+ years’ exceptional experience in project and change management skills in scoping, designing and delivering business transformation activities
! Proficiency in the following software: PowerPoint 2007, Word 2007, Excel 2007, SharePoint 2013 (lists and layout), Photoshop, Illustrator, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia
! Experience working on enterprise-wide initiatives or projects for complex organizations
! Effective and articulate communication in all modes and all levels in an organization including large presentations, training and facilitation experience
! Knowledge of standard merchandising principles, capabilities, processes and practices (actual retail merchandising experience preferred)
! Knowledge of project and portfolio management best practices and methodologies
! Certification or deep knowledge of ASMP, Prosci, ASTD or Kotter methodologies
! Knowledge of PMP, Scrum, Agile and SAFe, Six Sigma methodologies & project frameworks
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.
! Holds self and others accountable for results

! Experience with MS SharePoint, ERP Systems and Retail or Merchandising-specific systems
! Proficiency in the following software: PowerPoint 2007, Word 2007, Excel 2007, SharePoint 2013 (lists and layout), Photoshop, Illustrator, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia
! Experience with HTML and CSS a strong plus Experience creating blogs, surveys, and interactive sites a strong plus
! Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audacity, and MS Office Macros a plus
