The Employee Store Associate contributes to REI’s success by administering the employee ordering process for all online REI employee discount purchases. This position leverages understanding of the employee discount policies to provide first tier support to internal customers.
! Responsible for the daily operation of the Distribution Center employee store including register transactions, impulse purchasing, merchandise displays, maintaining monthly impulse inventory as well as establishing a friendly environment in the store
! Maintain current knowledge of the employee discount policies
! Evaluates and prioritizes incoming/outgoing telephone calls, e-mails, voicemails, and in-person requests
! Act as a liaison between employees and REI vendors to resolve issues.
! Maintain a high level of product knowledge and sales & service skills
! Enters employee order returns
! Track and report identified trends to facilitate accurate, timely and continuously improving levels of service

These are the skills and experiences we look for in our Employee Store Associate:
! 1-2 years Customer Support experience
! Demonstrated verbal and written skills; excellent spelling and grammar
! Knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Direct Sales systems
! Display excellent organizational skills & follow-thru
! Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple simultaneous tasks
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
! Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions
! Builds rapport with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization
