At REI, we believe a life outdoors is well lived. Our Receptionist will provide efficient and effective operation of the HQ phone system switchboard, perform miscellaneous phone coordination and clerical tasks for the Corporate Services department and HQ.

Responsibilities include:

⏵ Answering and routing incoming calls appropriately from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

⏵ Greet visitors in a professional and appropriate manner.

⏵ Maintain visitor id badging process.

⏵ Account for all visitor badges and temporary access badges; contact REI personnel for missing badges on a daily basis.

⏵ Complete assigned clerical tasks in support of the Corporate Services department or clerical projects as requested by HQ departments and approved by the Administrative Manager.

⏵ Working Relationships.

⏵ Reports to the Manager of Campus Services. Maintains functional relationships with other members of the Corporate Services team, as well as all REI staff, outside visitors, and vendors.

Bring your passion and expertise

⏵ Experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

⏵ Preferred experience with a multiple-line switchboard or console phone system.

⏵ Ability to work independently with a minimum of direction.

⏵ Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with confidential information.

⏵ Outstanding customer service skills in dealing with the public and REI staff, using tact and discretion at all times.

⏵ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

⏵ Demonstrated attention to detail.

⏵ Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
