You would be joining a dynamic, fun, and innovative team. Over the next couple of years we are working together toward doubling the number of participants we engage through inspiring outdoor experiences while also tightening REI’s connection in the local community. Here are the responsibilities of our OPO Market Coordinators:
! Assists with Manager in development, scheduling and execution of Outdoor Programs and Outreach Market Plan in alignment with our national plan
! Coordinates local social media and produces marketing materials to promote program
! Develop and cultivate relationships with community non-profits, clubs, and organizations that align with national and local objectives
! Responsible for ensuring effective use of financial resources
! Collects feedback and evaluates ROI on programs to improve future plans
! Build positive relationships with REI store teams to ensure support our programs

We provide entry-level to intermediate-level outdoor education programs in everything from Rock Climbing to Kayaking to Mountain Biking to Navigation (and more!). Here are some skills we look for in our OPO Market Coordinators:
! 3+ years’ experience with coordinating outdoor and community engagement programs (outdoor education, volunteer events, recreational events and activities)
! 3+ years’ experience in event production/execution
! 1+ year experience in business-focused social media program execution
! 1+ year experience in handling budgets
! Passion for preserving and recreating in the outdoors
! Promoting REI’s customer service philosophy; ability to effectively resolve difficult customer issues
! Mid-level PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Publisher
