Come design, build and support the next generation Hybrid-Cloud Infrastructure services that will power our REI’s IT systems. We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who can help with Engineering and Operations of our Linux server fleet (~1K Servers). You'll collaborate in a team oriented dynamic environment with other REI IT Engineers, Architects, and Application Developers to ensure solutions understand and support all requirements. You will have support to grow your skills and explore new technologies as we continually evolve our people, process and technologies.
! Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineering and Operations
! CentOS Linux Engineering and Operations
! Managing container workloads (Rancher, Kubernetes and Docker)
! Configuration Management (Puppet)
! Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform)
! SOP Definitions/Refinement (Linux and container focused)
! Monitoring and Alerting (Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus, Splunk, SolarWinds)
! VMware ESX operations (creation/management of virtual servers and modifying CPU/RAM/storage)
! New server builds
! Researches new technologies or methods to advance technical capabilities of the Co-op
! Experience designing to high availability and disaster recovery requirements
! Ability to draft system documentation inclusive of Confluence KBs, technical specs, architecture diagrams, etc
! Knowledge of storage systems (NAS, SAN, AWS S3)
! A passion for jumping in, learning new stuff, and getting your hands dirty
! Participates in on-call rotation Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
! Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
! Nice to haves: IBM Spectrum Scale experience, AWS experience
