This role contributes to REI’s success by participating in building and maintaining Information Technology infrastructure Company wide. The primary responsibility for the role is to administrate JAMF Pro and be the tier 3 escalation point for Mac devices. Duties include analyzing requirements for solving highly complex business problems and coordinating detailed plans for implementation. Installs, tests, implements, and supports highly complex IT infrastructure systems. Diagnoses and resolves highly complex issues regarding system configurations, including hardware and software installations, setups, researching error messages and implementing fixes. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

! Acts as information resource and internal consultant in their area of technical discipline to perform systems analysis and requirements gathering for highly complex IT and business systems
! Develops detailed plans, diagrams and documentation, and implements company-wide projects, communicating with and coordinating among vendors, end users and Information Technology staff
! Develops and maintains system solutions that maximize quality, performance, availability, scalability and security following departmental policies and standards
! Evaluates new versions or updates to systems to determine feasibility for use, prepares plans for adoption, and makes recommendations to senior staff and management
! With little supervision, installs, tests, implements and supports new versions or updates to enterprise hardware or software while keeping management fully informed of plans and progress. Coordinates with Information Technologies staff and business units for quality assurance testing and scheduling of move to production level
! Coordinates and oversees work provided by vendors on highly complex system installations using standardized work plans
! Plans and manages small to medium size projects, and coordinates own task planning for projects with management agreement
! May coordinate activities of project team or other team members
! May act as a source for direction, training and guidance for less experienced departmental staff
! Provide clear and concise communications

Bring your passion and expertise

! Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent training and experience preferred.
! 2+ years Information Technology experience in an Enterprise environment
! 2+ years experience administrating JAMF Pro
! 2+ years direct experience maintaining Mac devices in an Enterprise environment
! 2+ years experience utilizing command line interface and shell scripting
! Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud in an Enterprise environment
! Knowledge of local network (LAN) infrastructure components and ability to troubleshoot and collaborate with staff and vendors to resolve problems
! Ability to participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 service requirement
! Ability in all areas of technical writing skills for information or infrastructure systems preferred
! Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
! Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI
! Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
