As the Director of Human Resources, you will serve as the senior business partner for the Retail Organization, providing strategic and hands-on operational human resources leadership.

In this high profile, high impact role, you will be a consultant and adviser to the senior leadership of assigned areas while ensuring the delivery of specific solutions to drive organizational effectiveness. You will align the Retail HRBP team as strategic business partners to understand business goals, issues and needs, and proactively identify and resolve opportunities impacting the team and individual performance. You will drive consistent implementation and integration of human resource solutions as well as the evaluation of their impact on meeting strategic goals and objectives. You will be accountable for the employment practice discipline including employee relations and risk mitigation for assigned areas.

! Partners with Retail Leadership on the development and execution of their staffing plan to ensure an internal pipeline of management candidates meet the demands of projected growth

! Works shoulder-to-shoulder as a business partner and thought leader, seizing opportunities and driving priorities -

! Establishes a trusting consultative, proactive relationship with senior leaders and their teams - organizational credibility, business partnering, and decisive execution are imperative

! Influences, educates, and coaches executives regarding team effectiveness, team development strategies, change management, and leadership

! Leads organizational effectiveness strategies and talent/performance management for the Retail Organization

! Ensures diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility are integrated into talent practices at all levels

! Acts as a catalyst for change – sees opportunities and drives improvements

! Leads and develops a team of HR Business Partners and cross-functional partners

! Monitors and escalates the pulse and health of the organization through identifying trends to assess and diagnose the needs of the business based on trends across regions

! Solves complex organizational and talent issues- identifying trends early, mapping out solutions, and executing against the best solutions for the co-op and its employees

! Partners with HR Centers of Excellence (compensation, talent management, recruiting, etc.) to ensure that HR programs and processes are aligned with the business needs and are well executed

! Ensures that all federal, state, local laws and corporate HR-related compliance matters are proactively managed, including but not limited to ADA, EEO, FMLA and other laws

! Provides direction and guidance to field leaders and HR Business Partners on the interpretation and consistent application of policies, programs, initiatives on labor and employment issues/trends and employee relations to ensure they are creating and maintaining a positive and consistent employee relations environment

Bring your passion and expertise

! Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline required, Advanced degree a plus

! 10+ years of broad and progressive leadership in a fast-paced and agile organization - retail industry experience highly preferred

! Results-oriented leader with a track record of achieving business results in a challenging environment

! Well-developed, trusted and successful experience in coaching senior and executive management

! Demonstrated success in leading, influencing, and persuading divergent and diverse groups with the ability to adapt style to all levels of management and employees. Must have advanced conflict resolutions skills

! Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to establish a strong rapport and professional credibility to influence at all levels of the organization

! Strong business acumen, "street smarts," and an in-depth understanding of the HR and financial implications of business decisions

! Ability to lead, motivate and coach a team of talented HR professionals

! Pragmatic problem-solver who can partner across the organization to drive to execution and take action to implement solutions in a timely manner

! Effectively handle complicated employee relations issues including union drives/organizing attempts, discrimination claims, sexual harassment investigations and downsizing

! Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues

! Comfortable operating under high workload and juggling competing priorities

! Knowledge and experience in a multi-state, multi-site retail environment

! Travel as needed to support a store base of approximately 160 plus locations with limited or no notice
