This job contributes to REI’s success by identifying solutions to business challenges and leveraging deep requirements elicitation/documentation and configuration/functional skills to implement for assigned business clients. This role is responsible for business/functional requirements, business process design, development/configuration documentation, configuring solutions, ensuring thorough unit/integration testing, and meeting customer expectations for SAP FICO. The role will partner with Solution Architects to develop and implement new solutions that will help optimize REI’s processes resulting in efficiencies and cost savings on FI areas. Collaborates with other IT groups that develop software in support of projects, enhancements, and production support activities. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

! Acts as core subject-matter expert for SAP finance modules, and must demonstrate the ability to lead and coordinate the support of the production environment for end-to-end financial processes and [technical] programs
! Implements solutions through requirements management and system configuration for the most complex requests or projects
! Provides thought leadership and vision to understand design gaps, procedural inefficiencies, and develop transition plans for the most complex requests and projects
! Partners with Principal Business Analyst and project/business stakeholders to assist in the development of business process documentation for large/complex solutions
! Provide support for Integrated ECC FICO Module and coordinate with cross functional teams/systems (Order to Cash, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Warehouse)
! Produces accurate and detailed development documentation (requirement/design documents, functional specifications, Knowledge Base articles for production support)
! Contributes to the development and implementation of innovative solutions that provide new business capabilities and/or creates process efficiencies for the most complex requests and projects
! Ensures accuracy, consistency and effectiveness of processes in the system/product space they support
! Corrects system configuration defects for the most complex problems, using the IT incident and problem management processes
! Participates in promotion of new or changed configurations using IT change management processes
! Leads the creation of system usage documentation and training materials for newly created functionality and projects
! Assists with quality assurance processes for assigned large/complex projects
! Acts as a source for direction, training, and guidance for junior
! Functional Analysts within the team
! Actively seeks to be mentored to expand vision, experience, learning, and ability to influence

Bring your passion and expertise

! Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Computer Science Advanced degree or certification in SAP FI/CO
! 5+ years of full-cycle development and implementation experience in SAP Finance & Controlling S/4 HANA Certification, S/4 HANA
! Financials implementation experience
! Advanced knowledge of Package System functional capabilities related to business area being supported (i.e., SAP)
! Strong knowledge of SAP Hierarchy, General Ledger (GL), Special Ledger (SL), Asset Accounting(AA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), basic ABAP debugging skills
! 5+ years of experience in ECC FI and CO modules, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), FI-CA, Cost and Profit Center Accounting, Fixed Assets accounting, Banking, Project systems, CO-PA, Product costing and Internal Orders
! Strong configuration skills of ECC FI, CO modules in IMG based on business and functional/technical requirements
! Integration/Coordination experience with cross functional modules/systems Eg: OTC, P2P, WM, etc.
! Knowledge of retail and finance best practice business processes and procedures
! Ability to identify and prioritize business needs
! Ability to interpret and manage business and design requirements
! Ability to conceptualize and recommend solutions to business problems
! Advanced understanding and ability to execute all phases of Project Methodology (Waterfall and Agile) to successfully implement enhancements
! Understanding of IT development methodologies
! Excellent verbal and written communication skills
! Ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities across both project development and production support tasks
! Ability to maintain a professional composure during stressful situations
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business and project goals
! Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI
