This job contributes to REI’s success by providing timely, relevant, and technically sound financial analysis and recommendations that will assist effective decision making. The Senior Analyst provides this support to Controllership, senior management, retail, and departments throughout the co-op through performing financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, and leading special projects. The Senior Analyst is expected to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization, representing the Treasury as a subject matter expert. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

! Analyzes and forecasts corporate liquidity and working capital
! Drives proactive ad-hoc financial analysis by identifying what information is needed, where the data can be found and how it should be compiled, analyzed & presented
! Produces regular co-op reporting on cash and investments including Board Packets, Business Reviews, and key operational dashboards
! Conducts investing activity, monitors and provides analysis on investment strategy and portfolio performance
! Maintains short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
! Works cross-divisionally supporting REI’s strategic initiatives
! Maintains the Letter of Credit platform
! Tracks currency and commodities for Merchandising and Gear & Apparel
! Participates in large cross-divisional projects involving senior management
! Develops, analyzes and implements process improvements
! Assist with accounting and audit related projects and requests
! Cross trains with other employees on treasury related responsibilities, processes and tools and serves as a backup when needed
! Performs the daily cash settlement and reconciliation function on an as needed basis
! Serves as a subject matter expertise for treasury operations
! Assists on various operating issues in support of REI’s goals
! Seeks to reduce expense and maximize the profitability of REI
! Completes special projects, duties and initiatives as required

Bring your passion and expertise

! 5+ years of cash management, treasury and/or finance experience
! Strong project management experience
! Strong analytical and problem solving skills
! Experience in banking services, products and regulations
! Advanced computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft products
! Experience in Treasury Management Systems or Treasury Workstation
! Experience in SAP or other ERP system
! Certified Cash Manager or Certified Treasury Professional
! Experience with Asset Based Lending credit facility and covenant reporting
! Experience and understanding of processes within a growing multi-unit retailer
! Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
! Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
! Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions
