This job contributes to REI’s success by supporting the Treasury team and administering treasury ops and/or payments related duties on a day to day basis as well as assisting with cross divisional projects, developing, analyzing and implementing process improvements, and by being a technical and financial resource to help ensure the success of new or existing products and services. ! Subject-matter-expert for daily treasury and/or payments responsibilities and projects
! Creates process documents and workflows to support existing procedures and highlights key tasks performed within the team
! Understanding of underlying treasury systems/processes and the technical and financial implications of issues associated with them. Ability to identify, flag and support the resolution to systems/process issues
! Evaluates existing processes and recommends changes to management; helps develop and implement process improvements
! Manages and supports departmental and cross-departmental projects and resources to ensure that projects are successfully implemented while working collaboratively across the organization to ensure previously agreed upon project deliverables are met
! Plays a lead role in the placement, selection and ongoing support and compliance of treasury product and service-related contracts with our external vendors and banks
! Manages, supports and builds relationships and with internal and external business partners
! Assist with accounting and audit related projects and requests
! Cross trains with other employees on treasury related responsibilities, processes and tools and serves as a backup when needed
! Treasury Ops related requirements - Assists on operational duties that include but are not limited to the following areas: establishing and maintaining treasury management banking and investment relationships, managing the domestic investment portfolio, letter of credit program, credit facility, merchant processing and corporate credit card platforms, armored courier platform, forecasting our daily/yearly cash position, and maintaining departmental reporting needs
! Treasury/Payments related requirements - Assists on operational duties that include but are not limited to the following areas: bankcard transaction settlement and reconciliation, cash reconciliation, internal tender posting and clearing, supports Cash/POS projects, coordinates SAP/POS system testing for IT upgrades and enhancements, analyzing payments subsystem data and general ledger postings to ensure accuracy and completeness, tracks and advises on new forms of customer payment offerings, analysis and reporting of gateway, processor, network and issuer fees, assists with payment provider contracts and negotiation fees on behalf of, and to the benefit of REI, works with cross-divisional partners on payments related projects and resolution of issues

Bring your passion and expertise

! 3+ years of cash management, treasury, payments and/or finance experience
! Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field
! Certified Treasury Professional CTP
! Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service
! Proficiency with Microsoft Office
! Experience and understanding of processes within a growing multi-unit retailer
! Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
! Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
! Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions
! Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers
