! Facilitate the development, coordination, and implementation of the strategies of the Asset Protection department in assigned retail location(s)
! Plan and schedule a visit cadence for assigned store locations
! Collaborate with other Sr. Asset Protection Specialists within the market with input from key stakeholders and cross-divisional partners
! Oversee asset protection strategies and awareness programs to reduce inventory losses throughout the assigned locations and validates implementation of the programs in assigned areas of responsibility
! Initiates and manages investigations of internal theft, fraud, integrity and other policy violations related to asset protection. Completes investigations assigned by the Sr. Market Asset Protection Manager. Adheres to the requirements of the Investigation and Ethical Standards Guidelines
! Utilize available tools (i.e. – ZPA, CCTV, etc.) to identify possible internal fraud
! Identifies and resolves external theft trends, incidents, and concerns through analysis, partnership with law enforcement, other retailers and LP ORC groups. Monitors market Retail Alerts. Utilizes available information to coach and educate store teams in assigned location(s) on theft prevention tactics
! Communicate theft and fraud trends to direct supervisor in order to assist in the development and implementation of business solutions that are market specific to better educate, inform and direct stores with solution oriented guidance
! Oversees the physical security of assigned REI properties through CCTV, EAS, guard services and alarm system installation, maintenance and monitoring. Ensures Service Channel requests are entered for repairs of security equipment
! Validates the completion of quarterly burglar alarm tests by management at assigned locations
! Maintains security related equipment, including, but not limited to, locks, safes, merchandise protection, burglary alarms and cameras
! Utilizes the Asset Protection Visit Guide as a tool to identify and address operational deficiencies. Collaborates with store management to develop an action plan for deficient areas
! Monitors shipping and receiving procedures through data integrity reporting, driving awareness, and making recommendations for process improvements to reduce potential inventory loss
! Drives the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote REI key messages through a partnership with management in assigned locations
! Effectively and appropriately communicates actual or potential incidents and loss events to appropriate management/executives. Seeks guidance from direct supervisor for critical communication
! Support special events, store openings, and emergency situations at assigned locations which may include scheduling contract security coverage
! Assist the Sr. Market Asset Protection Manager in planning the installation of security equipment (CCTV, alarms, EAS)
! Support new store AP awareness training of management and staff
! Supports training and coaching in assigned store(s) for sales staff on asset protection, theft identification, operational deficiencies and safety. Presents AP topics at staff huddles in assigned locations
! Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action
! Monitors inventory, inventory accuracy, operation execution, shrink accuracy and procedural errors that could lead to inventory loss
! Utilizes all available Tableau inventory reports to monitor shrink trends and to plan shrink mitigation with leadership at assigned locations. Utilize the reports to measure shrink mitigation tactic impact
! Participates in the physical inventory processes including pre-inventory preparation, count accuracy validation and post-inventory shrink analysis. Partners with store management to analyze the causes of shrink and to develop and implement a Shrink Improvement Plan
! Support the company and department safety initiatives to drive reductions in worker’s compensation incidents, customer accidents, task compliance and verification in retail locations through education, training and auditing process
