The Executive Assistant contributes to REI’s success by providing highly complex administrative support on the executive team/leader and working collaboratively across the leadership and administrative support teams. Ensures daily and ongoing activities of the executive team are managed efficiently and effectively in support of business initiatives and immediate and long-term objectives. Responds fluidly and can flex in a dynamic environment, successfully manages an array of tasks and projects. Sought out partner in the administrative team for mentoring and training. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

Provides administrative support of a highly complex and responsible nature to Executive / executive team. Strong attention to detail, can manage competing priorities, is resourceful and pro-active, and effectively engage with a wide range of individuals.
Owns and drives the executives’ communications and calendar. Optimizes executive’s time internally and externally. Is responsive to requests, able to arrange and adjust schedules with knowledge of what is relevant and important. Ensures the executive schedule matches business priorities.
Prepares and researches presentations, emails, announcements and other and correspondence, reflects executive’s style and professionalism when doing so.
Carries out assignments relating to internal and external activities of the executive such as Board meetings, off-sites, leadership events and other major events requiring significant coordination and management. May at times assist with personal activities.
Collaborates effectively with the administrative team and other key points of contact for the executive and their office. Main point of contact for all communications coming to the executive office.

Bring your passion and expertise

5+ years of administrative support experience, including previous experience supporting sr. level leaders and/or executives.
Technical skill set includes ability to operate office equipment, AV equipment. Able to troubleshoot systems when minor errors or issues arise.
Highly skilled with MS Office products; social media, communication avenues such as slack and skype, other company applications and tools like Concur and SharePoint
Ability to draft, proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Strong business acumen, can interpret at a high level financial and business information
Adept at managing an executive’s calendar, make travel arrangements.
Consistently uses discretion when dealing with information of a sensitive or confidential nature. Has excellent judgment when working with highly confidential information.
Actively leads collaboration efforts with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.
Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI.
Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
Consolidates information that comes in a variety of ways and sources; can aggregate and reach sound decisions.
Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers.
