Help define and create the foundational capabilities REI needs in order to know our members and customers while empowering them to shape their engagement with the co-op! REI is looking for a seasoned product manager with experience building enterprise-level platforms to lead our Customer Accounts Platform team. This team is focused on enterprise needs related to customer identity and access management and customer profile. Other key responsibilities include ensuring that the data customers share with us is kept secure and is used to their benefit and to that of the co-op.

In this role, you will work with a talented cross-functional team to guide products from ideation to launch, focused on crafting innovative solutions to customer and business problems. We are looking for a product leader who is passionate about understanding needs from across the co-op related to customer identity and profile, and who is able to translate those needs into solutions that deliver the greatest possible value for our members and for REI.

Responsibilities

• Establish a product vision and roadmap and get others on-board with the plan
• Lead product discovery efforts focused on validating potential value, technical feasibility, and solution design for product opportunities
• You’re charged with building a platform! Elicit needs from a wide assortment of stakeholders from across REI’s lines of business, and identify those opportunities that will deliver the most value for the broadest set of internal and external customers
• Use market research, analysis, and direct engagement with our internal and external customers to create product requirements and define success metrics
• Partner closely with engineering and design to drive product discovery and development
• Manage your product backlog, making data-driven prioritization decisions that lead to optimal value delivery against identified objectives
• Collaborate with other product managers and internal teams as a trusted advisor to achieve shared objectives
• Monitor and analyze emerging consumer and technology trends to advance our product capabilities and drive innovation

Bring your passion and expertise

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Product Manager of digital or ecommerce products
• Experience with developing platform products that empower organizations or teams by delivering foundational capabilities
• Experience with customer identity and access management
• Experience managing custom and third-party enterprise applications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

• Education or experience in a technical discipline such as computer science
• Experience evangelizing new technologies across teams to accelerate adoption
