Demand & Inventory Planner Job in Huntington Beach, CA

Reporting directly to the Demand & Inventory Planning Manager, the Demand and Inventory Planner will play an instrumental role in ensuring that we have the right quantity & mix of finished goods in our warehouse. This role will also be responsible for maintaining raw material levels necessary to hit our production and unit growth targets. This position will drive the business through strategic Merchandise Planning, Inventory Optimization, Actionable Reporting, and Insightful Analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating pre-season and in-season financial plans for various sales channels, that support the major growth strategies of the company
• Assist in developing and managing the open-to-buy
• Work with Design, Marketing, and Production to develop business strategies to support financial plans
• Identify potential sales opportunities as well as potential risks – to increase sales, maximize margin, and manage turn, through strategic planning and reporting
• Analyze current sales trends, adjust forecasts and receipt flow/inventory levels to support plans
• Manage product flow, velocity, priority, and age of replenishment
• Work with the sales team to maximize replenishment opportunities, grow assortment, etc.
• Assist with monthly buys and replenishment for Sales Reps and Amazon channels
• Create and submit print pre-orders for Sales Reps
• Develop weekly reporting to analyze and provide KPIs to Management
• Create hindsight reports to drive strategic assortment decisions for future and in-season management
• Recommend style count, cc counts, flow of goods, AUR, AUC for optimal results by sales channel

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. Degree in Business or related field
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Able to thrive in a growing, small business environment with an ability to think outside of the box and creatively problem solve
• Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Deep understanding of the supply and demand planning process
• Required skills – Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong data analysis;
• attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage
• multiple priorities and adhere to a strict calendar
• Apparel and/or ecommerce experience is required (ideally, apparel sold online).
• Experience working with an ERP is a plus
