Liquid Graphics is looking for a new Artist / Designer to join our team!
As one of leading apparel production facilities in the western hemisphere, we are looking for a multi-disciplined artist capable of working directly with some of the biggest brands in the world to bring fresh looks and trends to their products while representing the Liquid brand of quality and professionalism.
The job will require you to work as well independently as you do in a team, be self-motivated and aggressive in your design approach to produce at the very edge of modern trends, while still respecting the goals of our clients. From in-house clothing lines, top tier brands, Influencer merchandising, to fast fashion retailers, our client list ranges dynamically from one style to the next. We are looking for someone with the skill set to study a client’s audience or customer base and design into their aesthetic, distilling it, and improving upon it.
A few additional points to consider before you apply.
Speed: This is a production facility and we move quick here; our artists must have the ability to turn out top quality designs and changes at the same fast pace.
People Skills: While most of your days will be spent getting lost in designing, we also happen to work for some very public clients that want a one on one relationship to communicate their ideas in person, and possibly on camera if requested. You don’t need to be an entertainer, but we do require you to be personable and able to communicate your ideas and work collaboratively when required.
Knowledge of Garment Manufacturing: Liquid is primarily a manufacturer of branded apparel, and we require our artist have a working knowledge of the industry and its practices. We don’t expect you to know what country every garment was manufactured in, but if you don’t know how to produce a tech pack of your design this isn’t the right position for you.
Trend Savvy: A lot of our clients come to us to help them produce new products that appeal to the latest trends and push their brands into the future. An understanding of the current trends of apparel, graphics, and pop culture should be the foundation of your designs. We are not looking for an artist that draws exactly what someone else tells them to draw, we need someone with the vision to take our clients’ requests and spin them into retail gold.
Attitude: Everything at Liquid is about the team, if you believe you’re above working on small projects when needed or are not willing to help others when things get tough, this isn’t the right place for you. Hard work and talent are respected but being ‘too good’ to help out when the team needs a player is not.

Responsibilities:
-Minimum 5-year experience.
- Art and Design for multiple clients and brands.
- Garment CADs and other pre-production artwork.
-Understanding price limitations and workarounds to meet client needs.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Communication with garment vendors and product sourcing skills.
-Working directly with Influencers and artist, taking care to understand them and their audience.
-Working knowledge of screen printing and garment production.
-Photoshop and Illustrator advanced skillset.
-Multitasking and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
-Trend research and producing inspiration sheets.
-Maintaining design calendars.
+ Pluses:
-Web design skills and basic UI/UX understanding.
-E-blast design and other promotional material creation.
-Slack or other chat-based systems for team productivity.
-Photography editing and airbrushing.
