The Giving Keys is a Pay It Forward company changing lives with inspirational jewelry through their social impact business model. Headquartered in Los Angeles, The Giving Keys employs people transitioning out of homelessness to make and assemble their products. Every product is stamped with an inspirational word like DREAM, CREATE or INSPIRE, and the wearer is encouraged to embrace their word, then Pay It Forward by giving their product to a person who needs the message. Since their incorporation in 2012, The Giving Keys has provided job opportunities for more than 60 people with the support of their non-profit partners.
We are looking for a dynamic, organized, detail oriented, and efficient Product Development Coordinator to assist our Senior Director of Product Development throughout the entire development process for all product categories. You will help analyze the current market trends by researching, developing, planning and launching products. In this role, you will contribute to the future development of The Giving Keys brand. Previous product development experience is required.

Proactive; anticipating issues, creating appropriate contingency plans and offering support and solutions cross functionally.
Knowledgeable; understands product construction, technical language, manufacturing methods and techniques.
In this role, you will…
• Be responsible for coordinating all product development processes from design spec through delivering Product Profile sheets to Merchandising and Production teams for bulk ordering; includes preparing artwork packages, coordinating creative aspects, seasonal presentation boards, studying vendor design specs, tracking submit samples, analyzing costing, coordinating testing, analyzing and cataloging results
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships and consistent communication with vendors, marketing partners and PR collaborations; includes costing, invoice processes, lead times, and details required to bring products to market
• Maintain records and create systems for filing, expenses, invoices, receipts, key stamps, samples, materials, packaging and shipping.
• Shop the market for inspiration, mock-ups, reference samples, materials and vendors; order art and jewelry supplies
• Interface cross functionally with departments to resolve any issues, represent as main department contact at meetings, and communicate packaging requirements, product detail and material information for all products
