Position Summary
This position is a hybrid position: work can be performed remote or in the office. Candidates must live locally under this hybrid work model.
Core Responsibilities
• Convert production plan (PPP) forecast into supply plan that meets vendor capacity.
• Convert supply plan into purchase orders that are placed with a lead time that ensures successful, on-time delivery.
• Vendor Management – facilitate weekly Jour Fixe with 3PA to review production schedule, container shipments, open tasks and any related ad hoc issues
• Purchase Order Management
o Conduct monthly Purchase Order reconciliation (5 point reconciliation) to ensure alignment between Product Portfolio, Production Plan, Open Purchase Orders, Vendor’s Production Schedule and 3PL’s Warehouse Management System.
o Purchase Order Maintenance – delivery dates, pricing
o Create receiving document to ensure receiving accuracy (ASN process)
• Purchasing-Logistics-Accounting Alignment – facilitate weekly Jour Fixe to ensure alignment between purchasing, receiving and accounts payable
• Communicate short-range and long-range product availability to sales, marketing, operations and finance.
• Partner with sales and warranty team to plan an efficient, customer centric warranty and service inventory.
• Report Key Performance Indicators and vital Metrics such as on-time delivery, vendor performance, inventory, etc. to management team to communicate health of the supply chain and to predict and mitigate potential risks.
Position Requirements
• BA/BS or equivalent from a four-year college or university; degrees related to supply chain or business management preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in supply planning, purchasing and/or supply chain operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand, assess, and problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate with all groups and to work quickly towards a common goal
• Positive attitude; solutions driven; accountable; able to manage own priorities
• Self-starter with excellent follow through; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment; proven multi-tasker
• Strong MS Office 365 for Business skills a must; emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• APICS or other supply chain certifications a plus
• SAP and SAP Business by Design a plus
