Position Summary:
This position is responsible for monitoring the quality standards of the bicycles and its parts by examination of material for defects or deviations from specifications.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities:
• Inspect and test the bicycles and all materials used for the bicycles
• Read blueprints and specifications
• Remove all bicycles and materials that fail to meet specifications
• Report inspection results and test data
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
• Accept or reject finished items

Job Requirements

Education, Experience, and Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Minimum Education Requirements:
• Trade or Technical School (Certificate or Diploma)

Work Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control function in manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Technical capacity and understanding
• Attention to detail
• Analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical details

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Industry experience

Work Environment:
Work is performed on the shop floor and production office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Factors:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
