Canyon Bicycles is seeking a Staff Accountant in Carlsbad, CA.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the financial management of the company, including accounting and regular reporting.
Summary of Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and credit card process including automation and timely payment of supplier invoices within ERP system, vendor reconciliations and implement process improvements, as necessary.
• Collaborate with Purchasing Manager to ensure streamlined and efficient purchase order to supplier payment process cycle.
• Manage full-cycle employee expense reimbursement process including entry, audit, approval, automated payment and implement process improvements, as necessary.
• Coordinate and assist Supervisor with management and compliance with Company’s employee benefit programs, including health and retirement plans.
• Assists Supervisor with management of standard cost inventory system including analysis of supplier costs, maintenance of master data and regular roll-up of standard costs within Company’s ERP system.
• Works with Supervisor to manage company’s financial metrics and accounting including timely period-end closing and financial reporting.
• Assists Supervisor with maintenance of accurate Company’s Balance Sheet and P&L account balances ensuring proper coding and postings of transactions, research, account reconciliation and journal entry vouchers, as necessary.
• Assists Supervisor with management of Company’s cash flow to provide accurate and timely forecasts to Canyon Germany.
• Ad-hoc assignments and reporting as deemed necessary.
