The Retail Store Manager has the unique opportunity to help shape the future of our growing experiential baseball and softball retail franchise – Hitter’s House. Hitter’s House was founded organically in 2015 through a partnership Marucci Sports, the premier brand in baseball. The first Hitter’s House location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has experienced great success which has led to the initiative of franchising the concept nationally. Hitter’s House isn’t just a retail store, it includes state of the art batting cages allowing customers to test product and work on their craft while selling Marucci product through a multi-channel approach.

We're looking for a hands-on team leader, who loves interacting with people, particularly kids, and is willing to completely own our Retail experience. You, the new Retail Manager, must have a serious appetite for retail operations, retail purchasing, retail marketing, ecommerce, retail finances and a love for baseball or softball – our success is directly tied to your efforts (and of course as the store becomes successful, you'll be compensated more for your work).

The Retail Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of our brand-new Flagship store in Torrance, CA on busy Hawthorne Blvd. right in the heart of the South Bay.

We plan on opening over 10 new stores in 3 years. You have an opportunity for tremendous growth in the company, including the opportunity to interview for the Manager of the Franchise operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing the store launch
• Hiring your team
• Set an example for the entire team
• Developing the team to deliver legendary customer experiences in the stores
• Building a retail and ecommerce marketing launch plan
• Establishing and promoting the training facility portion of Hitter’s House
• Implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the store employee team to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives
• Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the Hitter’s House culture, values and mission
• Planning, identifying, communicating and delegating key responsibilities and practices to the team to ensure smooth flow of operations within the store
• Implement plans to support execution of company initiatives to achieve both operational excellence and business results. Follows up consistently to ensure accountability to plans
• Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and filters communications to the store management team within the store. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective operations at the store level
• Show appropriate use of confidential and sensitive information
• Use all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the store. Tools include Weekly Reports, Monthly P&L reports
• Utilize management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance
• Promoting Hitter’s House VIP memberships
• Manage batting cage rentals
• Other duties as assigned
