About the job
As the E-commerce Photographer and Image Editor, you will be responsible for taking photos and editing raw photographs with an emphasis on product. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of lighting and visual design and possesses the knowledge of high-quality photography equipment. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Brand Director to create dynamic images in a highly creative environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• The photographer is responsible for shooting and editing an image.
• Ability to work in a variety of indoor or outdoor settings.
• Fine tune specific details when taking pictures, such as choosing the right filter, film speed, shutter speed, focus and aperture to get the results that are desired.
• Upload raw photograph data into a computer system on a need basis so pictures can be shared with other staff members or reviewed for quality.
• Must be organized and able to manage large amounts of image assets.
• Proficient in Adobe creative suites, in particular, Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Understands the workflow process of turning RAW images into finished images ready for publication.
• Performs image retouching: clean up, outlining, merging multiple images when needed, color correction/shifting.
• Perform cataloging and archiving of images according to company procedures.
• Need to be able to work in a fast paced work environment and able to meet daily/weekly image quotas.
• Ability to receive creative direction from the Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Stylist and make adjustments per the directives.
• On occasion, serve as photographer for company functions, special events, conferences or misc. needs.
