It all started back in 2007 with two young, talented kids who couldn’t afford a decent bike. Their desire to progress -and have fun doing it- inspired our founder Markus Flossmann to find a way to give riders of all ages access to proper mountain bikes. We are looking for a Social Media Manager who will play an essential role in delivering YT’s stated goal to become the most desirable mountain bike brand in the world. Based in our North American headquarters in San Clemente, CA, the Social Media Content Creator will be part of our Social Media Team, which is responsible for a global audience of more than 1.5 Million bike fans across various channels.

The main goal is to create and execute strategies, ideas, and content to be used on each of our varied platforms. You will be working closely with the Global Social Media team to ensure communications across all channels are aligned through daily postings. You’ll have extensive knowledge of current Social Media platforms, features and trends, photo, video and editing skills, combined with a passion for all things MTB. A willingness to travel Europe/USA is desired as you will be expected to create high quality content at world class events with the #ytfamily. You’ll be able to handle many tasks simultaneously and seamlessly interact within multiple departments as well external parties.

Your mission
• Create, edit and publish unique engaging content across various platforms daily, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest
• Communicate directly with our community underneath postings
• Suggest and implement new features to continue growth/engagement across social media platforms
• Create and implement strategies to use new/existing social media platforms
• Stay up to date with current trends and technologies in social media
• Be part of the community, identify opinion leaders, trolls and critics and know how to deal with them
• Develop a unique tone to answer comments in a way that matches the YT brand
• Liaise with external partners to share/manage content
• Report and analyse KPIs to measure the impact and effectiveness of campaigns

What you bring in
• A deep understanding of current social media trends and always on the forefront of what is next
• 3 years professional experience in a social media role
• Photo and/or video content creation experience and knowledge of Adobe creative cloud
• Basic understanding of digital advertisement
• Fluent in English, and strong written abilities
• Deep understanding, experience and interest in MTB/Cycling
• Outstanding communication and organization skills and a sense of responsibility
• High flexibility and willingness to travel, especially on weekends in the summer when events are running
