About the job
We are looking for someone who will play a critical role in the reporting process, planning process and analysis for the YT Industries US accounting team. This person will report directly to the Controller and will assist with many different tasks associated to the accounting of YT Industries USA. The functions of this role will directly impact financial close, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
YOUR MISSION
• Work with Controller to develop controls for a growing organization; provide input relating to processes, procedures, projects, and self-improvement
• Accounts Payable (bill entry and payment application)
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and ensure reconciling items are cleared
• Record various recurring monthly journal entries in preparation for financial close
• Assist controller with state sales tax filings in all required states
• Perform month-end balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with month and year end closing procedures
• Assist with tracking budget versus actual variance reports
• Manage multiple reporting requirements and ensure deadlines are met
• Perform other related duties as directed by the controller
WHAT YOU BRING IN
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; or
• At least 2-3 years related experience including general ledger close cycle; financial analysis, budget, and forecasting a plus, public accounting a plus
• Strong Excel skills required (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables)
• Strong knowledge in QuickBooks is required
• Experience with Odoo ERP system or similar ERP system a plus
• Strong data analysis; attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
