Job Description

BYLT BASICS is looking for a diversely talented and broadly experienced Lead Photographer. This critical role will convert brand strategies and category-marketing briefs into integrated campaigns, compelling content, and creative assets.

The Lead Photographer will create cohesive stories and innovative concepts that grow our brand, enrich our visual language, and amplify our brand experience across consumer touch-points. In addition to high-level creativity, we are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial photographer who knows how to develop content, manage projects, and hit deadlines.

This position is central to the BYLT Basics Marketing team and will require excellent time management and communication skills to effectively pitch and develop concepts in line with multi-category, multi-season, multi-channel needs.

The LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER manages and facilitates all social, digital & print photo/video shoots. The Lead Photographer is responsible for all in-house photoshoots, graphic design & editing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Participate in weekly digital marketing meetings and update content calendar with photos & digital artwork.
-Create Digital Assets Content Requests (Adobe Creative Cloud, GDrive)
-Coordinate, Produce, Edit & Publish all video, photo & art media
-Project management of photoshoots
-Conceptualize and manage website/social creative and select key photoshoot styles.
-Present the Design Intent and Category Strategy documents to management team
-Select and arrange for photo shoot samples.
-Develop creative direction for seasonal photo shoots with management team
-Ensure the effective execution of seasonal product marketing creative direction.
-Content creation & graphic design for email, social & website platforms
-Collaborate with management to ideate email content, copy, photography requirements, and storytelling against seasonal trends, product launches, go-to-market calendar, forecast goals, and marketing campaigns.
-Maintain creative excellence and brand cohesion across disciplines, including art, branding, design, copy, photo, and video
-Contribute to marketing strategy (e.g., concrete story themes/visualization concepts)

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
-3+ years’ experience working in art direction, graphic design, photography, or a related creative field
-Understand art direction and ability to both produce and execute photo shoots
-Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, GSuite and Microsoft Office tools
-Great understanding of marketing and trends, especially in fashion/core sports market
-Demonstrated ability as an individual thinker and collaborative team player
-Creativity skills developed during a previous experience as designer, copywriter or art director
-Ability to make decisions in a time-constrained environment
-Outstanding communication skills
-Strong ability to understand multi-channel marketing strategies
-Understanding of graphic art, colors, fabrics, trim and fit is essential.
-Sound knowledge of the fashion and fabric industry.
-Experience in the development of themes through storyboards.
-Capability to independently manage projects, present and report at a senior management level.
-Ability to recognize trends, conceptualize ideas and develop products.
-Highly developed organization and time management skills.
-High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-Knowledge of business management principles, practices, and procedures
-Knowledge of graphic design, email marketing, social media platforms & advertising
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
-Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
-Able to adapt to competing demands with the highest level of service and response
-Must be available and willing to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high priority initiatives
-Self-starter with exceptional communication, presentation, and project management skills
-This is a full-time position working out of the Irvine office
