SUMMARY:
The Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing the digital content strategies and maintaining the product catalog for the full life cycle of each style. This role will support in executing the day-to-day site merchandising tasks, as well as identify opportunities to optimize the onsite shopping experience for the end consumer. This role will support the product photography, copy and go-live process for Quiksilver, partnering with Brand and Ecommerce teams to build out compelling, consumer-centric content and product details, with a focus on end-to-end customer experience and maintaining brand authenticity.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supporting end to end setup of all products for the site, including but not limited to administering photo shoots for image production, confirming site inventory, product image and copy audits, updating filters, coordinating copy, product data uploads, reviewing default colors and categories, style activation, sequencing, site QA to executing product discounts and eventual deactivation.
Support on-going photography needs to optimize and execute ecommerce photoshoots as needed.
Ensure best in class item pages leveraging global product details information and 3rd party recommendations tool
Execute day to day activities using various internal and external tools for site publication, product information management system, and content asset creation.
Maintain onsite sequencing daily, using customer-first mind set and collaborating with brand and buying team on product performance and inventory levels.
Provide weekly and ad hoc reporting on merchandise life-cycle reporting (styles “live”, image status, copy complete, etc.)
Review web analytics reports to provide data and insights on category performance / navigation performance / and overall funnel reporting to drive consistent updates to site to improve traffic, conversion and sales.
Report and drive insights on customer feedback pertaining to reviews and ratings leveraging third-party partners.
Support marketing activity and product selection ensuring all marketed items and assets are properly sequenced, scheduled and published live on site with a best in class item page.
Participate in weekly business calls with global/regional business partners.
 
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree, or equivalent.
1-2 years ecommerce and/or product merchandising experience.
Detail oriented, with excellent follow-through skills.
Demonstrate the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-pace environment.
Ability to think creatively with customer first mindset.
Solution-driven problem solver.
Collaboratively work with cross functional teams and peers.
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to execute to timelines and provide timely solutions.
Understand the brand customer and user demographic.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel.
Ability to perform work onsite in the Huntington Beach office in hybrid model pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Experience in Sales Force Commerce Cloud (Demandware).
Experience with Adobe (Omniture), Atlassian (JIRA) and Project Mgmt Tools (ClickUp)
Experience in the brand lifestyle industry; work within a vertical ecommerce environment and for a brand that operates in all channels of wholesale, retail, ecommerce and marketplaces.
