**This is an un-paid, for college credit internship** Boardriders, Inc.; Quiksilver, Roxy and DC offer internships in various departments and provide college students with supervised practical experience in the workplace. You can intern in departments like Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations and Human Resources to name a few.
To be considered for the Internship Program you MUST:
Be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled at a college or university; or enrolled in an MBA program AND
Receive school credit for your internship AND
Able to provide proof of health insurance

What would you be doing?
The Operations Intern will have the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to active projects in an automated distribution environment supporting e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels. The students will engage with associates from all departments and positions in the facility, with an expectation to effectively communicate with both the leadership team and the operations floor. The focus will be on the three initiatives below, but the students will likely participate in other continuous improvements opportunities at the distribution center. 
Labor Management: Support the existing Labor Management program by partnering with all functions in the Distribution Center to audit existing and create new workflows, design, and complete time studies, and recommend additional process enhancements to increase efficiency.
Slotting and Capacity Strategy: Review existing processes and inventory profile to identify opportunities that will both increase storage capacity and generate operating efficiencies for the Distribution Center. Specific projects should target the slotting and replenishment strategies for new and old seasons.
5S Design and Implementation: Partner with the Distribution Leadership team to design a 5S program for the facility, including an implementation strategy and timeline for completion. 
 
What Skills, Major or Experience are we looking for?
Engineering major preferred
Verbal, social, and interpersonal skills
Bilingual (SPANISH) is a plus
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
