SUMMARY:
The function has five key components: 1) supervise distributor/international business and align it with corporate priorities, 2) report business performance and specific market needs to the corporate offices, 3) drive business results, and 4) manage business development projects in the territory, including integration projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify/recruit the best distributors available in each market. Continually evaluate the performance of existing distributors and support them for maximum growth and long-term brand health
Communicate Brand philosophy and product knowledge to international distributors, retailers and consumers on a regular basis
Align different distribution players in market (distributors, direct accounts, global customers, etc.) and resolve conflict among them (pricing, product calendar, customer service, etc.)
Drive overall business development for the distributor business, including legal, tax, and commercial aspects with the support of the corporate office. Manage integration projects across the territory
Track distributor performance on a regular basis in terms of sales growth and brand development efforts
Drive monthly revenue targets by category and ensure that distributors have the tools to achieve them (product, training, marketing, etc)
Fully understand market dynamics of the respective territory: Economy, customers, consumers, competitors, market trends, etc
Develop operational plans for the distributor business based on corporate direction, including monthly/quarterly budget, initiatives, business plans and marketing plans
Prepare and monitor sales plans at the brand and category levels
Control the Brand image in each distributor market with support from the Marketing team. 
Supervise execution of yearly and seasonal marketing plans including PR, POP, advertising, and sports marketing
Manage seasonal launches and their respective demand creation efforts. Ensure distributors get all the tools available from the Marketing department and participate in the respective processes (i.e. samples, POP, displays, and catalogs, etc.)
Control retail prices and distributor margins based on company guidance and market conditions
Ensure proper product mix and assortment across categories in each distributor market
Manage country specific needs including tagging/labels, VAS, among others
Team up with Sales Operations, Finance and other back office departments to ensure that product delivery is up to standards and that the distributor business gets appropriate support and follows all the existing controls (backorders/allocation, credit holds, product information)
Facilitate resolution of issues between distributor and corporate office, across functions.
Travel to each market to assess current status, maintain performance levels and identify areas for improvement
Gather, review, and consolidate seasonal orders. Drive re-order business
Approve request for returns, MDAs and other credits.
Maintain up-to-date records for distributors (door counts, org charts, rep structures, contact information, among others)
Organize and lead sales and line adoption meetings
Update order forms, price lists and discontinued lists on a continuous basis
Participate in the organization of sales meetings, training sessions, and special events
Host international visitors (reps, accounts, etc)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
At least 6 years of related distribution sales management experience in international markets, in the apparel and/or consumer goods market. 
Available for extensive travel
Bilingual, Spanish/English
Team-player, self-starter, solid problem-solving and communication skills
