**This is an un-paid, for college credit internship**
Internship Duration: College/University course semester dates
Boardriders, Inc. offers internships in various departments and provide college students with supervised practical experience in the workplace. You can intern in departments like Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations and Human Resources to name a few.
To be considered for the Internship Program you MUST :
· Be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled at a college or university; or enrolled in an MBA program AND
· Receive academic credit for your internship AND
· Able to provide proof of health insurance
(Please note: Students are eligible to intern during their course dates. Students may not begin before course date or continue past course date unless authorization letter is provided)
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
The Fit/Wear Test Internship is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in the details and operation of footwear development. Not only will you get hands on experience in the science of building shoes, but you will also be assisting our development team in daily fit and wear testing for new and existing DC Shoes models. Your duties will consist of helping with the fit testing of shoes on office employees, filling out fit/wear test reports with the feedback received, and presenting the reports to the development team. You will occasionally be asked to help box up shoes and assist with data entry. Anyone with a passion for footwear would be a great candidate for this internship!
WHAT SKILLS, MAJOR OR EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) ?
Attending school for product creation or textiles/materials a plus, but not required
Passion and desire for footwear a must!
