**This is an un-paid, for academic credit internship**
Internship Duration: College/University course semester/quarterly dates
Boardriders, Inc. offers internships in various departments and provide college students with supervised practical experience in the workplace. You can intern in departments like Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations and Human Resources to name a few.
To be considered for the Internship Program you    MUST:
Be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled at a college or university; or enrolled in an MBA program    AND
Receive academic credit for your internship    AND
Able to provide proof of health insurance
(Please note: Students are eligible to intern during their course dates.  Students may not begin before course date or continue past course date unless authorization letter is provided)
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
Billabong Womens Product Development Intern will learn how  a corporate Product Development department functions. Intern will be exposed to various Product Development roles such as steps in our calendar from design concept needs to final production stage, file management, attend weekly task meetings, and tracking chart reporting, coordinate and prep photoshoot sample lines, attend studio shoots. Interns will gain an understanding of the importance of PD functions and partnering with design to follow strict calendar deadlines while increasing their ability to work effectively with all cross functional team.
WHAT SKILLS, MAJOR OR EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Product Development Major
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel and Outlook)
Corporate Active/Surf industry experience preferred
PLM system is a plus
