SUMMARY:
To assist the Design Director with production of tech packs, visual line plans, packaging components, catalog layout, application of colors, graphics and patterns for Sunglasses and Goggles of the VonZipper brand. In addition, this person will assist in the production and development of some Marketing collateral and day to day basic graphic needs of the organization. (Window graphics for retail stores, in case POP, tradeshow booth graphics, etc.)
This role resides in the Billabong Corporate Office in Irvine, CA. and is planned to move to Huntington Beach, CA in 2019.

Being well organized with excellent time management and ability to maneuver multiple projects efficiently
Accurately adapt and apply design direction into cohesive internal and external communications that can in turn be manufactured and or utilized by our inside sales and marketing team
Create collateral that ensures maximum quality, consistency and accuracy and is on-brand utilizing style guides and creative briefs
Meet all deadlines to ensure projects are executed in a timely manner to reduce unnecessary rush shipping costs
Communicate with Creative Director and project stakeholders to streamline processes
Pre-flight ads, flyers, catalogs and window graphics to ensure they are print ready.
Conceptualize and create artwork for seasonal marketing initiatives and events
Foster strong, healthy, supportive, collaborative relationships w/ each team member
Experienced in graphic design, image manipulation, page layout, photo editing, color correction and formal online communications
Ensure rounds and final mechanicals are accurate and error-free; including file construction, organization and prepping of files for printing or digital output
Effectively use style sheets, master pages, templates, tracking, kerning and leading functionalities where needed
Flexible in working extended hours to meet deadlines
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Associates Degree or higher
Minimum 3 years of related experience in Graphic Design / Production
Experience in pre-production planning and processes
Motivated, highly-organized and able to effectively multi-task, troubleshoot and adapt with shifting priorities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite programs, and Microsoft Office
A positive attitude with ability to be a team player and contributor
Knowledge of printing processes/production
Experience in project and time management
Familiarity with Action Sports / Lifestyle market preferred but not required
Knowledge of principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, balance, patterns, composition and current design trends
