The QA Engineer is responsible for monitoring e-commerce software development process so as to ensure software adheres to the design requirements. The engineer ensures that new e-commerce functionality works properly before deployment. The individual executes and creates test plans and concise test scripts for new products or enhancements to existing products. The engineer defines moderate level scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing. This individual schedules and performs appropriate testing; submit errors and issues to development for correction, and retest once errors have been corrected following established procedures. The individual reports test results and status as appropriate; tracks defects and causal analysis to closure. This individual delivers accurate work estimates and works closely with the development team comprised of a range of skill levels.
This role resides in the Billabong Corporate Office in Irvine, CA. and is planned to move to Huntington Beach, CA in 2019.

Create and execute and record results of scripts and tests scenarios for web applications
Coordinate testing efforts with team members and stakeholders
Advocate of test innovation and methodologies in the organization
Report bugs in our JIRA database
Maintain QA documentation in Confluence
Test mobile and web applications
Analyze functional discrepancies against expected results; describe issues in detail and be able to reproduce the issue
Provide assistance to internal and external customers as needed
Represent QA concerns in meetings with cross-functional, project team members and additionally provide valuable end-user feedback
Work closely alongside Developers to find root causes for bugs
Create internal reports detailing critical issues for pending releases
Day-to-day QA testing:- Test case execution, Ad-hoc testing and Usability testing
Meet and exceed in the delivery of key e-commerce project goals in the IT department
Contributing to the successful implementation of e-commerce sites globally for all brands
5 to 10 years professional experience in QA testing field
Experience with E2E testing of ecommerce supporting systems
Automation using Selenium is a plus & should have working knowledge of a scripting language like Java and JavaScript
Develop and implement manual and automated test plans and cases
Experience with Performance testing
Must have working knowledge and experience with scripting languages like SQL
Experience with Ecommerce platform is a big plus
Must have database experience, SQL Server preferred.
Must have experience with a defect tracking system, Jira preferred
Must be able write detailed manual test cases
Working knowledge and experience with ERP system is plus
Must have the ability to work on multiple high visibility projects in parallel
Detail oriented and ability to organize multiple tasks
Must have an excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong fundamentals in SDLC – Agile / waterfall methodologies
Must work well in high pressure environments
Ability to work flexible hours and occasionally over the weekend to accommodate demands of the business
Excellent inter-personal skills
