SUMMARY:
The Calendar is responsible for ensuring adherence to development targets; calendar and process compliance; preempting potential risks by ensuring mitigation actions are in place; and ongoing improvement of development metrics and key performance indicators.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Calendar
Track calendar milestones with actual dates versus projected by brand for Apparel/ Accessories, Footwear, Snow and Tech (Wetsuits / Eyewear / Watches) Monitor concurrent seasons
Summarize key milestone progress for reporting dashboard

Monitor upcoming milestones and potential risks to adherence Provide forward-looking view of risk
Oversee creation and execution of mitigation plans with discrete owners and functional leader oversight (as needed)

Escalate issues via regular communication and weekly dashboards Assign issue mitigation plan and resolution to issue owner first
Inform functional leader of mitigation plan and ownership
Follow up with functional leader to ensure progress against action step
Escalate issue to Brand Manager in case of risk to issue resolution

Facilitate weekly cross-functional, cross-brand calendar meeting progress review Schedule and host weekly meeting with defined core, cross-functional team
Distribute weekly meeting package with agenda, required and optional attendees, upcoming milestone update status, and summary of key notes and actions from prior week’s meeting (min 2 working days in advance of meeting)
Compile responses into upcoming milestone status table and redistribute completed package in meeting or via email for dial-in attendees
Publish meeting notes and summarize status by brand and Apparel/ Accessories, Footwear, Snow and Tech

Provide ongoing enhancement, management, publishing, and maintenance of the calendar Assemble core team with additional cross functional participants, as required, to develop future seasons
Continue to push lead time reduction targets; measure and report against progress each season
Publish all calendar changes to key distribution list to ensure all functional areas are working from current version

Own sub-process definition as required and dissemination to cross-functional teams Included but not limited to updates to current or new process e.g.: SMU strategy and process, Fast Track, etc.

Manage transition during process or calendar changes Ensure clear definition of past activities and future activities by functional area

Drive development cost reductions across brands and product segments
Compile development targets from each brand across all categories (adoption rate, fabric development, fabric sharing, or other development costs like screen costs)
Work with teams to track development metrics across development cycle Attend key meetings (line plan reviews, final sketch review, final line adopt)
Track actual metrics against established targets at each phase
Summarize progress at each development stage and report in weekly dashboard

Highlight potential risks to achieving set targets and work with each team to establish mitigation plan Assign owner to each potential risk area and ensure clear mitigation strategy is developed
Inform functional leader of mitigation plan and ownership
Follow up with functional leader to ensure progress against action step
Escalate issue to Brand Manager in case of risk to issue resolution

Project Manager
Defines and update the processes, standards and governance, assisting Transition Managers on integration projects and coordinating activities in support of integration objectives
Creates structured schedules and project plans based on goals, resources needed, potential risks, time to market and budget constraints. By partnering with stakeholders in different functions to assess the workloads and impacts for different departments
Provides decision support information
Ensures that projects and programs are run in a repeatable, standardized way
Key Responsibilities:
Works closely with the teams across brands to understand the development process and any issues with the timeline Partner specifically with Global Product Leads, Brand Managers, and functional heads across development process

Able to manage excel and dashboard creation
Communicate regularly with upper management
Issue resolution and management of the escalation path
 
 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Product Design preferred)
Minimum 4 years of experience in apparel merchandising and product creation
Manages relationships and diversity, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
Blends strategic skills with operational and tactical execution
Has good numerical and analytical skills
Passion for the product with broad theoretical and practical knowledge incl. product creation
Creativity and ability to think out of the box
Persuasive presentation skills and an ability to build consensus for ideas
