Job Description
SUMMARY:
This position will be based in Huntington Beach and will report to a Buyer.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for supporting their Buyer to achieve sales and margin objectives for seasonal buy plans.
Responsibilities will include:
Seasonal Order entry and buy plan maintenance
Manage system SKU information and uploads
Sample coordination and management
Setup and maintain spreadsheets for seasonal buys
Weekly Reporting
Manage transfer and markdown files
Compile Monthly Best Seller presentations with Buyer
Additional tasks as needed
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Detailed and organized oriented
Manage completing priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency
Industry knowledge
Solid MS office and computer skills- knowing how to create formulas in Excel a plus
Ability to learn internal business systems
Strong verbal and communication skills
 
 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
1+ year experience as an Assistant Buyer or Merchandise Coordinator
Education: Associates Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
