As an associate footwear designer specializing in color, graphics, and materials , you will design themes, color palettes, and material and graphic direction for various product categories and distribution channels . You will demonstrate your ability to research, analyze, and execute on key footwear trends, filtered through seasonal direction, and promoting brand DNA.

Creates footwear material, color, and trim concepts based on seasonal themes and executes digital cads and tech packages for mainline and SMU build
Researches color and style themes across various distribution channels and ensures that product is consistent with market trends and needs of ROXY customer 
Partners with Footwear Product Management and Development team to fulfill business needs outlined in product briefs that promote brand strategies, aesthetic DNA, and costing initiatives
Partners with internal and external sales staff to gain and maintain understanding of specific needs and challenges in different retail channels and how they affect product design
Provides recommendations for seasonal themes, revisions to the line, and new, brand-driving concepts
Maintains tech packs and art files in company PLM system
Creates and maintain all cads on seasonal line plan
Update cad work and protype images for seasonal line plans
Creates and maintains digital catalog files
2-4 years design experience in the junior footwear market, with emphasis on colors, graphics, and materials
Preferred Education: Bachelors or Associates Degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, Graphic Design, or related equivalent
Strong knowledge of textiles and trims, and their application and/or limitations with various footwear constructions
Ability to select material and trim packages aimed at achieving costing targets
Ability to analyze online, in-store, and forecasting research and create trend right product for the ROXY customer
Strong taste level in working with color/print and the selection of silhouettes and textiles that are aligned with the ROXY brand aesthetic and seasonal storytelling 
Ability to distinguish and prioritize customer and consumer needs over personal tastes and preferences to deliver commercially successful styling that meets the stated product briefs
Strong communication and collaboration with cross functional teams (product management, development/sourcing, sales), business accounts, and product vendors 
Highly passionate and focused, seeking to improve and perfect design work at all stages of the development process
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet seasonal milestones and deadlines.
Strong ability to follow up and follow through
Excellent organization and time management skills
Detail oriented and highly motivated team player with an ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
International and domestic travel as needed (less than 5%)
Willing and able to work additional hours and help other designers when needed
