SUMMARY:
Design Speed to Market styles for eCommerce channel, identifying and executing against strategic Speed to Market opportunities and SMU’s for the eCommerce channel.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will cover all apparel and accessories categories.
Work with the e-commerce teams to analyze key market trends and identify product segmentation or SMU opportunities to drive incremental revenue and penetration for the brand.
Attend bi-weekly best sellers and meet with eCommerce buyer weekly to Identify and execute speed to market / supplemental product opportunities, maintaining open communication and visibility w/ the inline product teams.
Undertake market research and analysis
Design and execute SMU product
Collaborate with Design Director on conceptualizing, designing & executing special speed programs
Ensure technical specification packs are completed accurately and on time
Manage and adhere to product development calendar
Complete approvals on color, fabric, trim, art, branding & finishing
Collaborate with garment technicians to develop and approve the fit & construction
Have an in-depth knowledge of market, trends, innovation, competition, and product
Ensure product lines / programs are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner
Manage time and action calendar to meet all deadlines
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop Ability to develop and present product presentations
Experience with PLM system
5+ year’s experience designing women's apparel
Strong eye for trend, fabric, print and color
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships within a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Ability to identify key marketplace trends and opportunities that are consistent with brand values and design aesthetic
Knowledge of product development process / calendar / timelines
Strong Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills
Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in a similar role
Experience in garment fit & construction
Experience in graphic, color, pattern & trim design
Experience in embellishment, printing & finishing techniques
Experience in fabric development
Knowledge of the general product design and development process
Capability to independently manage workload Experience in PLM software
Must be able to multi task and work in fast paced environment
Must be proactive with a solution / result oriented attitude
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and follow through skills
Must be highly organized and detailed oriented
