SUMMARY:
Design and Develop Billabong Men’s product for eCommerce channel.  Identifying and executing against strategic Speed to Market opportunities and SMU’s for the eCommerce Channel.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will cover all apparel and accessories categories for Men’s division
Work with the eCommerce teams and analyze key market trends and identify product segmentation or SMU opportunities to drive incremental revenue and penetration for the brand
Attend best sellers and meet with the eCommerce buyer and merchant team to identify and execute speed to market / supplemental product opportunities, maintaining open communication and visibility with the inline product teams
Design and execute Speed to Market and SMU product including cut & sew apparel, graphic / printables programs, accessories, and footwear
Collaborate with the Design Manager and STM/SMU Merchandiser on conceptualizing, designing and executing special speed programs
Ensure technical specification packs are completed accurately and on time
Work with supply chain HUB and vendors directly to assure product details and approvals are complete and hit all product KPI’s for cost, margin, and on time delivery
Manage and adhere to design, product development, and production calendars
Complete approvals on color, fabric, trim, art, branding and finishing
Collaborate with garment technicians to develop and approve the fit and construction
Have an in-depth knowledge of market, trends, innovation, competition, and product
Undertake market research and analysis and identify growth opportunity for the business
Ensure product lines / programs are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner
Manage time and action calendar to meet all deadlines
Fulfill other STM and special projects as assigned
 
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
5+ years’ experience designing men’s apparel
Strong eye for trend, fabric, print and color
Ability to identify key marketplace trends and opportunities that are consistent with brand values and design aesthetic
Experience and knowledge of product development process / calendar / timelines
Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
Strong background with graphic design in creating and manipulating art
Experience in garment fit and construction
Experience in graphic, color, pattern and trim design
Experience in embellishment, printing, and finishing techniques
Experience in fabric development
Capability to independently manage workload experience in PLM Software
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships within a team environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
