SUMMARY:
The Retail Planner will develop department/classification plant to maximize business. These plans will consist of sales targets that roll to yearly financial goals, inventory levels to optimize performances and receipt plans to guide the merchant teams buys to insure sales goals. The planning role is responsible for tracking monthly/quarterly/yearly progress highlighting opportunities and liabilities to senior management.
 
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with merchant team and develop department and classification level plans.
Leads the financial portion of final buy reviews/approvals.
Run monthly OTB meetings
Identify risks and opportunities to senior merchant team.
Weekly financial report card discussion with VP retail.
Ensure efficient inventory levels
 
Must Have’s
Strong aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail math
Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate persuasively, influentially, and responsibly across a cross-functional team

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Minimum 5+ years Merchandise Planning experience in retail - preferably within apparel
Bachelor’s Degree required
Advanced computer skills, must be proficient in Excel
