The Duck Company is looking for an Illustrator/ Artist to join our talented team located in Arvada, CO. In this role you will be responsible for creating t-shirt graphics from concept to finish, requiring strong attention to detail, typography, color and trends. As an Illustrator you will be collaborating with the Art Director and other artists, our marketing department and our sales team to achieve the best possible graphics. This role you will be drawing every day, you must have a passion for creativity and be willing to push yourself day in and day out. But, you will be able to make a living being creative, nothing better than that if you ask us. This is a true art job, a little bit of admin work preparing the files for screen print but you will spend 80% or more of your time on artwork.

What we are looking for:
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is a must. You will spend the vast majority in those 2 programs.
• Basic knowledge of Mac computers and OS X.
• Comfortable working with Wacom tables & Cintiq’s.
• Strong conceptual skills and willing to understand and learn our market and consumers.
• Typography, color and layout skills play a big role with our designs.
• Flexible in styles, we work on everything from highly illustrative work to cartoons and humor to photo manipulations, etc.
• Ability to take direction well and is able to work with others is a must. We are tight knit group that works hard together but also have a lot of fun.
• Can work quickly, while we like to give our artists time to produce the best possible art we also need to work at a reasonable pace. This is where your knowledge of the appropriate programs comes into play.
• Experience with creating art for screen printing would be a plus but not required.
