About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Director of Product, as the Production Manager you will be responsible for developing & maintaining vendor relationships, managing production schedules, successfully executing the supply plan, ensuring on time delivery of our products, and analyzing product costs. To do this you will be interfacing with global apparel factories, issuing PO’s, collaborating with cross functional teams, communicating with our screen print facility, managing our production and sample schedule, and creating transparency of the entire process to empower the business to grow.

What you’ll do:
o Establish and maintain healthy relationships with vendors to maximize our ability to build and deliver product and achieve our forecasted revenue goals.
o Actively work with Product team to anticipate future needs and how they can be achieved through our current supplier base, developing new vendors as future needs necessitate.
o Work with Planning to build factory capacity plans and successfully execute the Supply Plan to ensure on time inventory arrival.
o Interface with our Mexico based screen print facility to keep them aware of incoming inventory and ensure they are printing on schedule.
o Issue & track to delivery Purchase Orders (PO’s) to our vendors & Production Orders (PDO’s) to our screen print facility.
o Actively maintain Work in Progress (WIP) reports for all vendors weekly, identifying, elevating and helping to resolve issues before they have adverse impacts on the business.
o Assist with creation of target FOB pricing and aid in price negotiations with vendors to achieve margin targets.
o Maintain open and frequent communication with the Product, Planning, Sales and Sales Support Teams, relating to quality, delivery, samples, and other ongoing business objectives.
o Manage production and sample schedule to ensure raw materials, finished goods, and embellishments meet expected deliverable dates.
o Work with freight forwarders to ensure accurate and timely movement of shipments.

What you bring:
o B.A. /B.S. Degree (Business or Supply Chain Management preferred)
o 4 years experience in sourcing and production planning for global suppliers
o Work history within a product based organization (apparel preferred)
o Experience using an ERP System (SAP preferred)
o Proficiency in the Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
o Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
o The ability to write clearly and persuasively in addition to defining problems and articulating solutions within a group setting.
o The ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.
