Job Summary: Responsible for the oversight of the terrain parks at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows including parks strategic planning and day-to-day operations in partnership with stakeholders . Establishes and implements service and safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
1. Responsible for overall direction and performance of Terrain Park department including daily feature builds, events, and snow planning.
2. Responsible for all Terrain Park Grooming and Park Staff operations.
3. Responsible for overall Terrain Park coordination, communication and product performance enterprise wide.
4. Ensures that park features are well maintained and consistent with best practices incorporated into daily operations.
5. Evaluates conditions by skiing/riding in the parks throughout the day to inform operating plans and communicates with appropriate team members.
6. Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with Alpine Meadows | Squaw Valley’s policies and applicable laws.
7. Interviews, hires, trains, schedules and appraises performance of approximately 30 employees. Provides leadership and direction that motivates and creates pride among team to perform at their peak.
8. Builds customer relations and ensures our guests are treated courteously, safely and efficiently.
9. Responsible and accountable for the Terrains Parks business plan and budget including operating expenses, labor and capital.
10. Coordinates day-to-day activities with all other departments in order to provide safe and smooth mountain operation. Confers with staff to plan special events, deal with weather related problems.
11. Determines work priorities, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
12. Issues written and oral instructions for staff on regular basis.
13. Assigns duties and examines work for safety, quality, and conformance to policies and procedures.
14. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
15. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
16. Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties.
