Sweda is a family owned business founded in 1974 located in the City of Industry. We create promotional products for some of the most well known brands in the world and need a Production Planner to assist us in delivering the best, on time.
General Summary: Responsible for performing various production support duties for domestic production orders. Issue imprinted production orders to various vendors. Updates order schedule information in ERP system. Make necessary copies of the imprinted production orders. Communicate with internal departments, as well as vendor on production issues. Assist in training new employees as needed. Provide recommendations for future improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following :
• Assumes responsibility for issuing imprinted production orders to various vendors for apparel line.
• Carefully review production purchase orders for item, quantity, and imprinting details.
• Accurately write up production orders with essential information, either manually or electronically. Verify production order details to ensure accuracy.
• Enter production order information in the EPR system.
• Keeps a daily log of production orders issued.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management.
• Maintains regular contact with other departments to ensure smooth flow of production orders.
• Keeps manager informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
• Inform managers of resources or tools required to perform job effectively.
• Attends and participates in meetings as required.
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
• Ensures the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
