Job Description
This is a temporary assignment scheduled to last approx. 3 months
Position Summary:
The Collections Specialist plays a critical role in the finance department at VICE. The incumbent will provide best in class customer service support for all related client collection needs. This ideal candidate will be results oriented and adept at buildings strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the purposes of meeting collections targets and goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day collections operations for VICE via phone and email
Interacts and communicates with VICE clients to review the status of unpaid or short paid invoices related to various goods and services
Seamlessly navigate between VICE internal systems and client portals as necessary to conduct status check ups on various accounts
Contacts clients regarding past-due accounts and invoices
Promptly respond to client inquiries regarding past due balances.
Monitors payment arrangements to ensure compliance with payment terms.
Regularly refers to the aging report to make determination on where to focus collection efforts at any given time
Must be resourceful in developing alternative solutions and meeting deadlines in a real time, fast paced environment.
Researches and monitors unapplied payments
Prepares reports and analysis on the status of credit and collection matters; provides regular updates to management on these matters.
Complete any ad-hoc assignments as requested
5+ yearsâ?? collections experience
Netsuite experience a plus
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
Ability to provide high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
Ability to handle a high volume of tasks maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing as necessary.
Ability to understand, adhere to, enforce and apply department policies and procedures
Proficiency in MS Office. Strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
