<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The VICE Guide to Right Now is home to all of VICE’s culture, humor, and entertainment digital video franchises. Developed with Gen Z issues and audience in mind, VGTRN is social-first and uses interactivity across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat to give young viewers a voice. VGTRN takes traditional formats and turns them completely on their head while also finding the most fringe characters and subcultures to present in approachable, bitesize series. Never old, never stale, and constantly experimenting, The VICE Guide to Right Now is a video incubator for all things young, pop culture, and humor within the digital ecosystem at VICE.</span></p>
<p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The main role of the VGTRN Producer is to develop, shoot, and oversee edits of video projects from start to finish while hitting all deadlines. The producer is the main person to execute creative and maintain creative direction, generate and submit budgets for approval, scriptwriting, organize shoot logistics according to deadlines, and serve as the main communicator with crew while in the field and while a piece is in edit. This is a freelance position. </span></p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Serve as lead executor and creative on all aspects of production, through development, shooting, post, and publication of a shoot while hitting each milestone deadline</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pitch and brainstorm new series, formats and episode ideas in creative sync with EP and Senior Producer</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop and fully execute all greenlit pitches </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate, organize, and book all elements for shoot</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Determine gear (in coordination with DP), and set equipment needed</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Direct all shoots and ensure all talent is properly managed and directed</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Confident working with and directing high profile talent </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead and guide AP, ensure workload is shared and direction is given to hit all deadlines</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Write scripts with assistance from AP and ensure all is fact checked and legal approvals are given</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oversee post-production edits from a creative standpoint </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oversee R+C + legal approvals in coordination with AP and Production Coordinator </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate and provide all delivery assets needed for piece’s publish </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least 2 years experience at producer level with a proven track record at well-regarded digital production companies, or equivalent</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience developing and producing repeatable video series</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, prod</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">ucing video with a rapid turnaround in high volume </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Confidently develop, execute and oversee an edit from start to finish</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Working knowledge of cameras and related gear </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed, sometimes with short notice</span></li>
