<p><strong>SENIOR BROADCAST PRODUCER - VICE NEWS TONIGHT</strong></p>

<p>The award-winning VICE News team develops and produces news content across VICE platforms and partner platforms. Tnews team focuses on in-depth longform storytelling and unique and creative ways to relay topical daily news. This is a collaborative team that works together to make everyone’s stuff better. <p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p>The Senior Broadcast Producer for Vice News Tonight will run the daily execution of the show. You need a vision for storytelling, a love for daily news, and the ability to hold it all together when things adapt and change on a tight deadline. You’ll be in the control room for the show, in primetime, so extensive experience there is a must. You should exude a calm, in-control vibe and back it up with the ability to act deftly in changing situations.</p>
<p><strong>In the short term… </strong>you will help develop and launch an updated and expanded Vice News Tonight, working with the Executive Producer and editorial team to build the framework and content - from short franchises to lengthy pieces, and everything in between. You will be a part of the senior management staff, working with producers, APs, and writers to guide them on the day-to-day execution of the show. </p>
<p><strong>After 6 months in this role… </strong>You’ll take ownership of the role and have a better idea of what’s working and what’s not, and make adjustments as needed. You’ll be confident in a clean daily execution.</p>
<p><strong>And after a year.. </strong>You’ll be regularly backing up the EP, and taking over special projects within the framework of the show.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>You have these:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>6-10 years control room experience, including experience with hosts, live content, and breaking news</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Strong news judgment and excellent problem solver</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Experience managing and leading a team of producers; assigning them to produce day-of and longer-term pieces</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Thrives in high-pressure, deadline-oriented situations</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Excellent writing and editing skills; experience reviewing and revising scripts and rundowns</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Collaborative team player with a positive attitude</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience working on long-form scripts and story arcs</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ability to pitch unique story angles and ideas for packages and specials</li>
