<p><strong>Agency Business Affairs Supervisor</strong> </p>

<p>The Rights &amp; Clearance department provides archival and compliance solutions across all Vice properties.</p>

<p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p>You will manage aspects of business affairs per job award, are self-motivated and flexible. You can balance the alignment between the various needs of the creative, R+C and legal departments.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>You have these:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5 year’s work experience in Business Affairs capacity, handling research, rights, talents negotiations and contractual details at an advertising agency or a production studio focused on commercial or branded content.</li>
<li>Experience with copyright, trademark, licensing/legal issues or advertising law, licensing and legal issues in various media platforms</li>
<li>Experience reviewing, guiding and advising on creative campaigns from ideation to final delivery</li>
<li>Experience creating efficient and effective processes</li>
<li>Knowledge of SAG/AFTRA, ACTRA, AFM, IASTE Union, contracts, residual projections and talent payment of both foreign and domestic talent</li>
<li>Comfortable analyzing business opportunities to formulate development and production matters to help negotiate and line-up contractual agreement points</li>
<li>Ability to anticipate needs, reacting effectively to situations that require quick response or turnaround</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and is able to deal with rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li>
<li>Passionate about Business Affairs and Advertising</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>We’d love if you also had these:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to liaise between agency, R+C dept and legal counsel with respect to administration of contract execution</li>
<li>Work with the agency team to independently review ad concepts, storyboards and scripts to make sure that they are within network and client legal guidelines</li>
<li>Draft and negotiate contracts, including license agreements</li>
<li>Work with third party entities to secure consent and clear rights when referencing their assets</li>
<li>Hire freelance archival research and clearance support as needed for intensive projects</li>
</ul>
