<p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p>VICE Media is seeking a Global Payroll Manager to oversee the day to day functions of Workday and Cast &amp; Crew payroll processes.  The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of the Workday payroll module as well as the Time Tracking and Absence Management modules.  The position will be responsible for three pay cycles paying approximately 4,500 people, of which is the weekly pay cycle for the production population, semi-monthly pay cycle for the U.S. population, monthly pay cycle for the remainder of the global population.</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, payroll funding, tax filing on a pay period and on-going basis</li>
<li>Responsible for running retro pay calculations, pay calculations, as well as closing each of those calculations</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing all payroll entries for accuracy and partnering heavily with Human Resources on anomalies and day to day issues concerning the payrolls</li>
<li>Responsible for successfully balancing, settling and closing the payrolls each period</li>
<li>Oversee processing and distribution of paychecks/vouchers</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and execute change management for said improvements</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls and advise VP, Global Payroll of any inadequacies</li>
<li>General knowledge of accounting standards/procedures as well as federal, state, and local rules/regulations, along with country specific pay practices</li>
<li>Assist the Payroll Accountant with the monthly payroll bank reconciliation answering questions and researching anomalies</li>
<li>Write and run ad-hoc reports out of the payroll system to be delivered to various business partners on set schedules</li>
<li>Manage the regression testing of bi-annual Workday Releases</li>
<li>Assist in any upgrades or enhancement testing with HR, HRIS, Benefits or other business partners</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>You have these:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of five (5) years processing high volume. multi-state payroll with 3 years experience with Workday required</li>
<li>A thorough understanding of payroll entries, and how they affect ledger accounts.l</li>
<li>Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs. Specific Excel experience should include creating and manipulating pivot tables and vlookups at a minimum.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of payroll processes and best practices, and ability to demonstrate effective application of that knowledge</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Payroll systems, Time and Attendance systems and reporting tools</li>
<li>Proactive, motivated, and results orientated individual capable of partnering with operations, human resources, and other business partners</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization</li>
<li>Extreme level of confidentiality</li>
</ul>
