<p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p>The VP, Global Payroll has excellent customer service while exercising a high level of confidentiality overseeing the day to day functions of Workday and Cast &amp; Crew payroll processes for salaried and hourly employees.  You are proven leader that is proactive and motivated to ensure accurate, timely payment processing and reporting of all wage and tax data in accordance with local regulations. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will continuously improve methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk. Managing and leading a team of four, you establish and document payroll and payroll tax procedures. You are responsible for three pay cycles paying up to 4,500 people, inclusive of weekly production pay cycle, semi-monthly US pay cycle, and monthly pay cycle for the remainder of the global population.</p>

<li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, payroll funding, tax filing within Workday and Cast &amp; Crew payroll module as well as the Time Tracking and Absence Management modules</li>
<li>Manage the retro and current pay calculations, balancing, settling and closing the payrolls</li>
<li>Manage, develop and successfully mentor 2 - 3 payroll analyst </li>
<li>Oversee the management of a parallel payroll, Cast &amp; Crew, which pays the production staff running along side the Workday</li>
<li>Set guidelines for a payroll eco-system with a cadence of schedules, timelines/deadlines and internal communication for HR and Managers </li>
<li>Identifies opportunities for process improvements;  ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, as well as compliance with external laws, regulatory guidance and Union</li>
<li>Ensure on-going, quarterly and Year-End reporting is balanced and filed in accordance with legislation and deadlines are met</li>
<li>Assist the Payroll Accountant with the monthly payroll bank reconciliation answering questions and researching anomalies</li>
<li>Routinely advise the Chief Accounting Office and Chief Financial Officer of global payroll best practices</li>
<li>Work heavily with HRIS to establish best practices and data integrity from a payroll perspective</li>
<li>Assist in troubleshooting system configuration issues, along with documentation and further resolution, either in house or with outside consultants</li>
<li>Assist in regression testing of bi-annual Workday Releases</li>
<li>Maintain payroll processing documentation and any other reference material used by the payroll department or it’s business partners</li>
<p><strong>You have these:</strong></p>
<li>Minimum ten years payroll management experience, three years Workday experience</li>
<li>Experience with Workday and Cast &amp; CrewPayroll required</li>
<li>A strong understanding of equity compensation and how it impacts ordinary income and related tax withholdings.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment with great accuracy</li>
<li>Proven knowledge of accounting standards/procedures related to audits, federal, state, and local rules/regulations, along with country specific pay practices</li>
<li>A thorough understanding of payroll entries, and how they affect ledger accounts</li>
<li>Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on creating and manipulating Excel pivot tables and V-lookups</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Payroll systems, Time and Attendance systems and reporting tools</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization</li>
<li>Eagerness to lead, learn and being proactive in taking on new opportunities and challenges</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred</li>
<li>CPP or FPC certification preferred</li>
