<p><strong>Role x You</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">VICE Audio is bringing the cutting edge, award winning documentary reporting of VICE News to your ears. We are looking for seasoned audio designers who can work with a team and autonomously to record, mix and design for multi-part audio documentaries and our growing slate of podcasts. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a sound designer you will be tasked with creating captivating soundscape for a variety of podcast projects. You will be an integral part of editorial conversations about how we want a story to sound and the development of storytelling through audio. You will be encouraged to push the medium forward in new ways and come up with creative solutions to storytelling challenges. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ensure the delivery of high quality audio, and audio edit for continuity, content integrity, style, consistency, and structure. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">At a minimum you will be mixing and mastering episodes to industry standard. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Sound Designer will also need to maintain audio file management, adhere to naming conventions and data storage. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sound Designer will work in close collaboration with producers to conceptualize the audio first storytelling from conception to completion. Ability to do creative work under hard production deadlines expected. </span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least 5 years experience as a professional audio engineer, mixer, or sound designer</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mastery of Pro Tools, fluency in Adobe Audition</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to set up and engineer voiceover sessions, remote interviews and multi person in studio sessions </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to be creative in solving technical problems</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Understanding of the podcast landscape and audio trends</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Must be able to collaborate and brainstorm ideas with production partners</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and work across geographically-dispersed teams and still meet deadlines</span></li>
