ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Retail Marketing Specialist, you will support and drive the execution of measurable traffic and sales-driving programs to the London, Ontario Employee Store. This includes but is not limited to Business-to-Business (B2B) Programs, Special Events and Community Partnerships. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Retail Marketing.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
Build relationships and manage accounts for growing book of businesses of various sizes and industry, non-profits, associations, and events.
Have partial accountability for operational budgets.
Attend conferences, networking and customer events to represent the Employee Store and potentially other brands in the Columbia Sportswear Company portfolio.
Work closely with various corporate teams as well as HQ Corporate teams including but not limited to Corporate Relations, Retail Operations Creative/Design teams and the Retail Marketing team.
Seek out and develop new business opportunities
Perform medium volume administrative tasks including but not limited to: bar code creation, tracking and reporting, invite template creation, distribution and follow-ups for invited groups, maintenance of accurate contact records, new vendor requests, create POs and ensure invoices are paid in accordance with company policy; and submit creative requests as needed to support in-store events and community partnerships.
Provide Employee Store Manager weekly communication and tools to support invited groups

YOU ARE
Self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work both independently and collaborate with various types of teams.
Detail oriented and have strong organizational and analytical skills.
An outstanding communicator, both written and verbally.
Driven to achieve sales or business development quotas.

YOU HAVE
A high level of comfort and experience using LinkedIn and proven ability to network, attract, build and maintain strong business relationships.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products as well as high level of comfort with technology.
3-5 years of experience in sales or marketing, and account management or business development.
A bachelors degree in a related field of study.
